I am enthusiastic about working on interesting opensource projects.
The areas I am interest in include bioinformatics research, web and mobile app develoment and programming challenges.

Currently I am contributiong to an opensource app for crowdsourcing security information as a back-end engineer.

I have attended a few hackathons and won a couple of prizes including the "best use of analytics" from Intel and "best app for social change" from ThoughtWorks at NSBE GoogleHacks.

Publications

My research with Dr. Ananda Mondal in Bioinformatics was accepted at the BIBM 2015 Conference for publication.

I presented the research at the ERN Conference 2015 in Washington, DC and during the Claflin University Reseach Day 2015.

Experience

I have held four different internship positions in the last three years - at MUSC, twice at Dell Inc., and at Duke Energy. Furthermore, I held leadership positions in several student organizations on campus and enjoy volunteering as well.
